    MANUBALK expert mission
    s it was written in MANUBALK project plan, and as it was confirmed during business meetings and Steering Committe in September in France - from 21st to 25th of October the expert mission took place in Montenegro. MANUBALK project partner from Montenegro, National Library - Djuradj CrnojeviC, hosted one regional expert from Serbia and one European expert. Representing INternet Club the expertise of selected manuscripts was done by MANUBALK project coordinator for Serbia, Nada Arbutina, while Anna Arietta Revithi came from Greece. Greece is not a partner in this project , but due to the expected high level of expertise and analysis, Ms. Revithi was called in front of the Hellenic Parliament as highly reputable European conservator. A representative of CCL and technical coordinator was Richard van Deusen.

    Ch. Forbes in NLS
    Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Mr. Christopher Forbes visited on March 24th, 2013. The National Library of Serbia. Their host, Dejan Ristic, director, informed the guests about the history of the NLS and about its activities and future plans. Mr. Forbes and Prime Minister Dacic, along with their associates, visited the exhibition dedicated to Desanka Maksimovic, Children s department, reading rooms and than honored guest from US signed in memorial book of our national library. Respectable guest expressed his satisfaction with the provided opportunity to visit the National Library of Serbia and he emphasized that he is aware of the importance of this cultural institutions

    MANUBALK project
    The first advanced training of the MANUBALK project (Manuscripts of Western Balakans) for Serbian experts in the field of digitization in cultural institutions (libraries, museums and archives) as well as for the project partners from Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina took place at the Belgrade City Library on November 21st. The all-day work has been divided in two parts - in the first one twoexperts from Serbia, Adam Sofornijevi and Natasha Daki, presented the technical aspects of the digitization process and of the metadata entry. In the second part, Carol Giordano from French Centre de Conservation du Livre, presentedtools for faster integration of digital objects in the databases. Besides the representatives of the partners from the National Library of Montenegro, Transvezalni Val, National Archives of Bosnia and Herzegovina and BayAza library from Sarajevo, training was attended by Serbian experts from SANU, NBS, Belgrade City Museum , University libraries from Nis and Belgrade, Faculty of Mathematics in Novi Sad, Belgrade City Library, librariesCacak and Kraljevo.     Enlightenment of research
    izvor Thanks to the archival research by one of the associates of the journal "Voice of the library", Koviljka Leti, a part of unknown history of the Library in Cacak is now known for everyone who is interested in such subjects. Research tells us about United library and reading room of Cacak in the years before World War II. In the article "United library and the reading room in Cacak" (p. 125-138) the author has revealed unknown details that preceded the closing of the Reading Room in the year1937. and its reopening in 1939, thanks to the citizens of Cacak and its progressive individuals. In that article for the first time were published documents from the Archives of Yugoslavia which are concerning the above events.

    Good day for BIBLIONET
    izvor From 22nd to 24th of June 2011. National Library of Jagodina hosted fifth annual professional scientific meeting of the central libraries of Serbia, BIBLIONET 2011. Main topic was - Unreached users. The event presented a number of innovative projects already implemented in libraries in Serbia and surrounding areas. In Executive Council were academic Miro Vuksanovic, Vesna Crnkovic and Dragana Milunovi. The meeting opened Minister of culture, media and information society of the Republic of Serbia, Predrag Markovic, with a speech which will be remembered for long time. After two days of working sessions there were chosen the best projects of Biblionet 2011. The best two are - Novi Sad City Library project and Infobus, project from the Library of Prijepolje. The aim of the project Library for everyone is to increase the popularity of libraries in Novi Sad among young people with intellectual disabilities and among youth from the mainstream population through volunteer organization; the project includes the manuals for librarians who are working with people with intellectual disabilities.

    E-Review of the Church of Eparchy Zicha
    izvor Center for Digitization of the City Library Vladislav Petkovic Dis digitized the entire collection of the journal Review of the church of Eparchy of Zicha which was published in the period between years 1919. and 1938. That digitized material was published in the Digital Library (http://cacak-dis.rs/dig_bibl/index.html). The significant local heritage collection contains 20 volumes, 166 numbers, or more precisely 6482 pages. Collection of the journal - Review of the church Eparchy of Zicha divided by year of publication, from 1919. to 1938. when the journal moved to the city of Kraljevo, but under the new name - Zicha`s missionary. The collection is searchable by keywords in covering titles and subtitles, contents and authors of the articles when they are signed. Width of the scanned page is 900 pixels, the documents are in .jpg format.

    09.10.2013.LJIG VIDI On October 9th, 2013 the INternet Club has announced the realization of the new educational online project - E-Training for Educational Management, Administration and Librarians, which is the working title of the project to be implemented within the INternet Club s Department of Science and Education. The head administrator of the project is PhD Adam Sofronijevic while the project s coordinator is M.Ed. Danka Danicic, Master of Education, Higher Education Administration and Leadership. What is Online Learning? Education delivered via a computer, using the internet via a web-browser. The many options for online education will be available on our new website www.internet.edu.rs as e-forums, webinars, software for coursework, video or audio files, or recorded webcasts.     02.07.2012.VRUJCI VIDI This year`s theme of the successful eighth meeting Librarian occupation and profession was Libraries on social networks with the expert master class by Vojislav Rodic. During three working days 30 participants and 6 gusts by invitation took part in this professional course. After 10 hours of lectures, 2 workshops and consultations with the inspiring lecturer all participants came to the same conclusion which is that the main point of the library activities on the SN is increasing the number of users as well as making quality contacts with them. A large number of examples and wide range of given possibilities made all lectures very useful. Of course, the high quality of professional work has been followed by other interesting things that Banja Vrujci can offer this time librarian enjoyed the magic of the bonfire in the rustic Internet Club at the ethno village Mala Marishta and in the real mountaineering expedition to the top of the mountain Rajac.     26.09.2011.BELGRADE VIDI BGB partner of Europeana Awareness Initial Conference of the Europeana Awareness Project (EAware-nes) was held on 26th and 27th of January in the Royal Library in Hague, Netherlands. The three-year project leads EAwarenes Europeana Foundation and it brings together 48 partners from 29 European countries. This is the biggest project by the number of participants which is funded by the European Commission. The total budget is 5 million euros. Belgrade City Library as the only partner from Serbia in the next three years will participate in realization of two from six work packages project. Furthermore, Serbia will get through this Europeana project full support for the promotion of at least one social event. Project activities are fully aligned with the Strategic Plan of Europeana for the period 2011-2015.

    29.05.2009.- CREPAJA - KOVAČICA DETALjNIJE On Friday 29th of May Ana Marija Franc, student of Music academy in Belgrade, had recital on harf in big hall of Neighbourhood Association in Crepaja.She performed works of Bach, Handel,Albert Zabel etc. Thrilled audience of Crepaja and awards Ana Marija got so far are the best proof she will have promising brilliant career. Library is grateful to all of those who supported organization of the concert.

    From October 11, 2005 our web site has been implemented by a new web service php-WEBER which allows the automatic insertion and distribution of telex news of 100 words from all net member libraries Biblioteke naseg okruzenja. The Library Telex, popularly named The Focus of Interest, will allow an even more efficient registering of library information on the world wide web. We expect that YOU with your donations will contribute to the exchange of library information with us in allowing it to be richer and more meaningful.

    At the Childrens Section of the Library Djordje Jovanovic, Stari Grad in Belgrade, the first childrens electronic reading room is open to the public. The Council of Stari Grad has donated modern computer equipment to its youngest population. Five computers connected to the internet with its equipment, on-line internet and the multimedia are already red-hot from use and creative electronic workshops taking place here with the cooperation between the library and The Cervantes Institute in Belgrade
